This project will result in a full closure of Castillo Street from US Highway 101 to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks for about two months. The southbound on/off ramps to US Highway 101 at Castillo Street will also be closed for the duration of this project. Motorists headed southbound may detour at the US Highway 101 off ramps at West Carrillo Street or Garden Street. Local traffic near Castillo Street will detour onto State Street or Garden Street.

On behalf of the Maritime Museum of San Diego’s Pacific Heritage Tour crew I wanted to personally thank you for setting up a very successful volunteer program and would like to say how much I enjoyed working with your volunteers. Your volunteers were professional and made the ship visit a pleasant and safe experience for all who crossed over the gangway to San Salvador. All days were executed very nicely from the visitor’s experience, but Sunday was particularity demanding, and through it all the volunteers were a pleasure to meet and fantastic to work with the whole time. The Pacific Heritage Tour is very demanding yet it cannot happen without volunteer support. Having a solid group of volunteers like yours is what makes the experience so rewarding for many of us. Please extend a heart filled thank you to all who volunteered their time for the Santa Barbara San Salvador visit.
