Driving Directions:

To reach the Museum from the SOUTH:

  • Take California coastal state highway 101 north to Santa Barbara.
  • Exit at the Cabrillo Blvd. turnoff (left-hand lane exit).
  • At the stop sign at the bottom of the ramp, turn left.
  • Continue along the beach for approximately 5 miles past Stearns Wharf.
  • You will pass the harbor on the left, and come to a stop light at Harbor Way.
  • Turn left here and enter into the harbor parking area.
  • SBMM is located at 113 Harbor Way, in the large white building that faces the harbor.

To reach the Museum from the NORTH:

  • Take California coastal state highway 101 south to Santa Barbara.
  • Exit at the Castillo Street/Harbor turnoff. At the stoplight turn right, and continue approximately 1/2 mile to the T-intersection which dead-ends on Cabrillo Blvd., turn right.
  • You will pass the harbor on the left, and come to a stop light at Harbor Way.
  • Turn left here and enter into the harbor parking area.
  • SBMM is located at 113 Harbor Way, in the large white building that faces the harbor.
